Childcare Provider Update
In March Granum School Families voted to proceed with a 4-day school week, which will begin in the 2024-2025 school year. Livingstone Range School Division leadership heard from families that childcare was a major concern and have worked with local providers to ensure childcare options are available in our community.
We are pleased to announce that the Granum School Council has selected Little Leaders Learn & Play to operate a childcare program on-site at Granum School! Pending provincial licensing, Little Leaders Learn & Play will be a licensed childcare facility with certified early learning educators, featuring a child-led, play-based program offering:
- Monday to Friday care for children ages 19 months to 6 years
- Before-and-after-school care for children up to 12 years of age
- Full-day Friday programming for children up to 12 years of age
The daycare will open on Monday, August 19 to ensure children have two full weeks to settle into a routine before school begins on Tuesday, September 3. The daycare will operate from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.
A waitlist for pre-registration of residents of Granum and families of Granum School only will begin May 1. On June 1 the waitlist will open to surrounding areas.
Affordability grants and subsidies are available for qualifying families. Childcare prices will be made available later this spring. Full-time programming is planned for the summer of 2025.

Please note: Little Leaders Learn & Play is currently seeking provincial licensing approval. All proposed plans are pending licensing.
